Linda Silverman

Linda Silverman is a clean energy and climate change expert, and a blogger. She retired from the U.S. Department of Energy in 2018 after working on clean energy and climate change for 30 years. Her last position was as Director of the Solar Decathlon, a widely known competition where student teams designed, built and competed in ten contests over a two-year period. Linda occasionally consults on clean energy and climate change for a range of clients. She has been an appointed member of the Montgomery County (Maryland) Climate, Energy and Environmental Quality Advisory Council since 2019. Linda earned a master’s degree in international relations and economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado. She took part in the 2019 class of Senior Leadership Montgomery. She has two twenty-something kids who are employed as engineers. She and her husband, Dan Snow, are membersof Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, Maryland.
