June Trone has been engaged in Jewish and secular causes, and served on Boards of Directors for many different philanthropic and politically affiliated organizations for many decades. These include KEEN Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (Board Member), an organization that provides sports and other activities to children with disabilities; LUNGevity (Board Member) Since its inception,she has been intricately involved with funding for lung cancer research and support for survivors; Congressional Club, the nonpartisan group for Congressional spouses;
International Neighbors Club I, a group for government, community and ambassadors’ spouses;
political and community activities related to the Sixth Congressional District represented in Congress by my husband, David Trone; JDCA (Board Member for three years); AIPAC;
ACLU for over 30 years; created and funded The Trone Center for Justice and Equality;
Johns Hopkins, including lipid study, and support for research in bladder cancer; Suburban Hospital; Wharton School of Business; University of Pennsylvania; Furman University
Vanderbilt University; American University, where she was part of the founders of The Trone Family Eminent Scholar Chair in Neuroscience and Behavior; Total Wine & More (Board Member and Owner; Helped establish and build this national company); and the Democratic Party, in which she has invested an enormous amount of time and resources. She has
a Bachelor of Engineering from SUNY, Stony Brook, and an MBA from Wharton School of Business/University of Pennsylvania
