Tracie Pough

Tracie S. Pough is a Partner with Ballard Partners Lobbying Firm in Washington, DC. The firm specializes in all aspects of governmental and public affairs, including legislative advocacy and administrative issues affecting agency decisions.   She is a strategic and seasoned professional with over twenty-five years of legislative, political, non-profit, and private sector experience. 

Prior to joining Ballard, Tracie served for 19 years as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and a total of 22 years on Capitol Hill.   During her tenure with Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz, Tracie was instrumental in developing legislation to create Jewish American Heritage Month as well as working to establish the Black/Jewish Caucus.

Tracie began her career the Florida House of Representatives where she learned the fundamentals of the legislative process and procedures.  As an innovative and proven leader, she has served and advised elected and appointed officials as well as corporate and non-profit executives across a broad spectrum of issues and interests.  Tracie is a fierce advocate, effective communicator, critical thinker, problem solver, relationship builder and ethical manager of leaders, staff, budgets, and organizations. With her experience and leadership qualities, Tracie provides competent support and counsel to public officials, governmental entities, political institutions, and private-sector and non-profit organizations.
